About

I am a plant biologist with an interest in human-mediated plant evolution. I find it fascinating how a few species of plants and animals managed to exploit a primate, Homo sapiens, to increase their reproductive success.

I am also interested in archaeological sciences and in archaeological theory being a strong opponent of any post-processual, cognitive or phenomenology approaches to the study of the human past.

My research interests are the application of population genomics to the study of plant domestication and spread and the changes in genomes associated with the development of local adaptation in crops.
